The term ‘superfood’ is as over saturated as ‘fast fat loss’, coming across deceiving, overused, and misleading. The leafy bag of mixed greens that are going old in the back of your fridge can even be considered a ‘superfood’…so what exactly are these plants called that can provide your body with a boost of healing benefits? Everyday essentials! That’s right, these powerful herbs, roots, and algae can be included in your daily nutrition far beyond a tincture or capsule. They can be included in your baked goods and hardy savory dishes!
Aside from the variety of vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutritious needs that, these foods can elevate your health, and only take a small amount to get the job done! Below includes a glimpse into the powers spirulina, hemp, and MCT oil can provide to your body to optimize your health!
MCT + CBD
By adding our THC-Free Oil to these already delicious treats, you can maintain a healthy cannabinoid level throughout the day, calm your nerves, and reduce inflammation, on top of all of the vitamins and minerals the other superfoods bring.
Paired with MCT oil, you are given an energy-boosting supplement that raises ketone levels, the source of energy the body uses when it burns fat instead of glucose. MCT oil is high in saturated fat. The oil has anti-fungal and antimicrobial properties that may cause a die-off reaction in those with compromised immune systems. MCT oil also is known best for energy boosting properties while helping maintain proper stomach acid provide better support for maintaining gut health. Another reason these superfood balls are at the top of our healthy menu list!
Spirulina is a powder form of blue-green algae that is ultra rich in vitamins (B vitamins, A, E, K, C, and D), minerals (potassium, calcium, zinc, chromium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, and selenium), proteins and amino acids, carotenoids, and antioxidants. With its myriad of nutrients, it is incredibly beneficial for the health of your brain and body. Though I don’t like to use the word “superfood,” it is considered to be one because of its nutrition profile and its ability to remove toxins from the body.
Some additional health benefits are:
- Boosts energy
- Reduces cholesterol
- Reduces allergy and sinus issues
- Lowers inflammation in the body
- Removes heavy metals from the body
- Boosts the immune system
- Increases fat burning and promotes weight loss
- Eliminates candida

That’s not even the extensive list, and I think it’s pretty amazing! Now, can you imagine pairing these two powerful duos together? Talk about some major healing benefits!! Below is the recipe to these yummy truffles made by our friend Georgie at the Fearless Bodies Blog.
