What is Ashwagandha?
First things first: this herb is pronounced osh-wah-GONE-duh.
Ashwaganda root is an Ayurvedic herb that’s crossing into the mainstream, thanks to its many mind-body benefits. Most notably, ashwagandha has calming properties that help you manage stress and anxiety. It has been used for over 2,500 years, and is actually the most commonly used and extensively researched adaptogen herb.

- 1/2 cup steel-cut oats (gluten-free if needed)
- 1 1/2 cup water
- pinch of Himalayan salt
- 1 tsp CURED Cinnamon Honey
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ashwagandha
- 1 tsp high-quality matcha powder
- 1 tbsp honey (vegan if necessary)
- fruit of choice to top (a handful of berries is always my go to!)
- We topped this hearty bowl with some extra healthy fats from shredded coconut
- Bring 1 1/2 cups of water to a boil in a pot. Add the oats and pinch of salt, reduce heat to low and cover and let simmer for 12-15 minutes. (*May vary depending on your oats, check your packaging for directions)
- Once the oats are cooked, turn off the heat and stir in the almond milk, vanilla extract, matcha powder, and maple syrup. Mix until well combined.
- Divide into two bowls or jar and top with fresh fruit, shredded coconut, and a serving of CURED Cinnamon Honey
