Passion Flower: Native to the Americas, where it has been used for centuries to heal bruises and cuts. Modern day herbalists recommend it as a powerful nerviness tonic to treat stress, anxiety, and help the mind prepare for a restful night’s sleep.

It has also been used traditionally to provide relief to women who are experiencing menopause. Common symptoms of anxiety and depression, are relieved by this herb with the alkaloids “chrysins” and “benzoflavone” present in this herb have been found to increase GABA (gamma amino-butyric acid) in the brain. GABA is one of the inhibitory neurotransmitters used by the brain to prevent over-excitement and attain balance. Ashwagandha

Chamomile: Commonly found in tea, this herb comes with amazing properties that may aid in sleep, digestion, and overall well being. Containing apigenin, an antioxidant that binds to certain receptors in your brain that may promote sleepiness and reduce insomnia, or the chronic inability to sleep, makes Chamomile a MUST for a pre-bed supplement.
