Frequently Asked Questions

ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS

What is hemp and how is it different from cannabis?

Hemp is of the same genus as Cannabis, but contains less than 0.3% THC. Humans have grown hemp for thousands of years and is one of the strongest, most durable, natural soft fibers on this planet. Because of this, hemp has a wide variety of uses such as for paper, fuel, oils, medicine, clothing, housing, plastic, rope, and even food – you may have noticed hemp milk or hemp seeds available in your local health food store.  To legally grow industrial hemp, it must test below 0.3% THC in dry weight

What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?

Cannabidiol a natural compound found in both hemp and marijuana. Like THC, CBD is a cannabinoid. But unlike THC, CBD non-psychoactive, meaning it doesn’t get you high. CBD is responsible for many of the positive effects of hemp oil. To learn more, we recommend checking out Project CBD (www.projectCBD.org), a great nonprofit organization dedicated to publicizing research into the medical uses of cannabidiol.

What does "Full Spectrum Hemp Phytocannabinoids" mean?

Many people are familiar with cannabidiol (CBD), which is found in highly concentrated amounts in our products, but there are actually dozens of cannabinoids found in hemp, which have shown many benefits in studies. We carry an array of options but choose to make many of our products with full-spectrum hemp oil, which includes all of the cannabinoids found in the plant, so you don’t miss out on any of the benefits.

How do I use your spices?

You don’t have to heat the CBD for it to be active, but that does not mean you should not cook with it. Our spices are best used when cooked with healthy fats (olive oil, avocado, coconut, ghee). Baking and sautéing/pan frying are our favorite ways to cook with Cured CBD infused spices. Things to consider are: cooking over an open flame that can vaporize the CBD and being on a grill where it can fall off when cooking. Crock pots are a great way to use Cured for example.

Are your products legal?

In the U.S., CBD derived from industrial hemp is considered a dietary supplement and is legal to purchase and ship nationwide. All of our American industrial hemp CBD plants are grown and distributed in full compliance with the State of Colorado, as well as in full federal compliance with §7606 of the 2014 US Farm Bill.

Does CBD get me 'high'?

No. CBD is non-psychoactive and will not get you ‘high’. Users may feel relaxed but not high.

Will your products show up on a drug test?

Drug tests usually test for tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. Hemp is classified as cannabis with less than 0.3% THC. This means there may be THC in hemp products. Similar to the chance of failing a drug test by consuming poppy seeds, customers are expected to fully understand what is contained in our products and make their own conscious decision to consume our products.

Does CBD react with any medications?

Always consult a qualified medical professional before beginning any new nutritional program or exercise program.

Are your products gluten free?

All products are formulated with no gluten containing ingredients.

Cross contact disclaimer: these products are made in a facility that may induce cross contact with Egg, Fish, Milk, Shellfish, Soy, Tree Nuts, Wheat, Gluten.

Are your products vegan?

Most of our products are vegan besides the products that contain honey (cinnamon & honey and the dough). In addition the gel capsules are not vegan.

Are your products organic?

Yes. All of the product ingredients are organic including the hemp extract.

How much CBD should I use?

Unfortunately, due to FDA regulations, we cannot recommend a specific dosage. We encourage each customer to experiment with different dosages and evaluate the effect.

  • One teaspoon of Cured spices has 15mg cannabinoids
  • One pack of Cured dough has 30mg cannabinoids
  • One dropper full of 250mg oil is 7.5mg cannabinoids
  • One dropper full of 500mg oil is 16.7mg cannabinoids
  • One dropper full of 1000mg oil is 33.4mg cannabinoids

Search CBD on pub med for a great resource. The best serving size is actually determined by each user’s metabolism and/or existent deficiencies of the endocannabinoid system. No different than being deficient in vit-D, our bodies cannabinoid receptors experience deficiencies. It may take several doses for each individual to find his/her own daily cannabidiol intake for efficacy.

Are your products safe?

The cannabinoids in our products are derived from the highest of quality organically grown and extracted Colorado industrial hemp. We pride ourselves on bringing our customers the purest hemp extracts and verify purity and non-toxicity through extensive third party testing.
